What’s in the Bible disc 2 part 1 Devo
In Genesis 17 God makes a promise to Abraham that he will
give him a big family and that his family will bless the whole world.
God keeps his promise and Abraham’s family become God’s
people. Eventually one of Abraham’s
descendants, a girl named Mary, gives birth to Jesus!

14 “Don’t be troubled. Trust in God. Trust also in me. 2 My Father’s house has room to spare. If that weren’t the case,
would I have told you that I’m going to prepare a place for you? 3 When I go to prepare a place for you, I will return and take you to
be with me so that where I am you will be too. 4 You know the way to the place I’m going.”
Jesus promises us salvation from sin, and a place in God’s
kingdom. A cool thing about that promise
is that we don’t have to sit and wait for a trip to heaven, we can be part of
God’s kingdom right now when we love our neighbor, do our best to follow God,
and invite other people to be part of God’s kingdom.
